Searching for a car for my other-half!!

My head's wrecked trying to find something for the girlfriend... Basically she crashed her car over 5 months ago and it was written off.

Her budget is hopefully ~18k and she wants the following:

min year - 2008

Diesel (No more than €400 road tax)

White in colour preferably, but black or red is ok.

Bluetooth phone and audio. (Audio seems more important, she has given out that my e92 has bluetooth but can't play music through it)

Sat-Nav.

Cruise-Control.

Leather.

But don't know the dealer and it's UK import. How easy is it to do a background check on imports? Anyone know the dealer or passed the place?

Open to suggestions too as she's been looking at audi (in particular A5, but has looked at A4 and A6) but they're all mega mega mileage!

Forgot to mention, she doesn't like the idea of having something that everyone else has, so the likes of the Golf or Focus and that sort of stuff is out!!!

Haha, my advice is let her find her own car, you make the wrong decision and you'll never hear the end of it!
Id generally steer clear of English imports unless you bring it in yourself, lots of
Irish dealers buy from the auctions over there.

Hard work finding something for someone else, I am having the same bother looking for my daughter. The only difference is I am one decimal point to left when it comes to budget but list of requirements is still endless and the headache is still the same.

Is the 23d the same engine as the 20d with a factory remap to push 201bhp instead of the 183bhp, or are there any mechanical differences?

Edit: Nevermind! Just realised the 23d is twin turbo... Nice!
