    Pusher fan

Am hearing and reading lots of conflicting things about this - so hopefully a definitive answer is available.

There is no pusher fan on my 325ci - I have been told by BMW that one was present when the car was new. The car had a front end tip before I got it - so I'd presumed the fan took a hit too and it wasn't replaced.

I bought a second hand pusher fan and went to fit it today, however, there's no connector for it - ended up taking most of the front of the car apart and couldn't find any sign of it.

Common answers I've come across online are:

There is no pusher fan on a manual car (there was one on my 328ci though)
There is only one electrical fan in a car (there is also no viscous fan - the main fan is electrical).

Anyone know what the situation is? If anyone has the pusher fan on a manual car could they take a photo to trace the wiring?

    RE: Pusher fan

an average set up is a sensor plug on top of rad or leaving engine after thermostat this sensor is called a thermistor and if you wire it through a relay for the fan and use the thermistor as an earth supply to the relay then your spark will be much reduced and therefore your thermistor will last years instead of days doing the heavy slogging under the full power required to run the fan being run through it .
you can buy thermistors of many temp ranges and threads and you do not need to use a bmw if not available to you also the fan is not required above 15mph as the wind takes over --no need to have the fan running all the time --check the temp required and off you go . bugs
