Help BMW e60?

Hi I'm looking to buy a bmw e60 from 08 onwards and I heard that the engines that have the timing chain at the back give a lot of hassle? Is that true and is there anything else I should look out for? thanks

What engine ? If your looking at 520d , then have a read there

thanks, yes and looking at a 530d also.

go with 525d or 530d if you can stomach the tax. As far as im concerned the 20d is a no go.

Tax is not bad for them paid €710 for my 520d it was a 07 and the tax is cheaper for the 530d 08
