    E46 Exterior Door-Handle not opening?

    Hi Guys!

    Quick question, Have a '00 E46 Coupe, The interior door handle works perfect but it doesn't open from the outside?

    I assume a cable has come off somewhere but I can't find it, Anyone have a DIY thread link or even pics of the setup?

    Get the door panel and vapor barrier off, after that you will see the black cable that loops from the outside handle down to the latch. check its still attached on the handle side and the latch side. If you loosen the three studs on the latch and pull it back you will see how the cable is attached. Its a fiddly job....
