    VAG-COM, Which one???

To all the tekkies out there.

Could someone recommend a good source of where to buy a copy of VAG-COM. I have a lap top running Windows 7 with only USB 2.0 connections.

Ashamedly the girlfriend owns a MKV DEEZEL Golf and as expected it has many many many things wrong with it.

So I want to know exactly whats wrong with it in case I taint my hands unecessarily. :crying:

    VAG-COM, Which one???

Rosstech is the one to buy.

    www.VCDS.ie

The strength of the sterling actually makes it decent enough value.

Jaysus I'm not paying that! :surprised:

I had seen them on Ebay for £50 just wondered which one was the best.

    VAG-COM, Which one???

You need the rosstech cable or it won't work. Even if you picked up the rosstech obd-II cable it will work.

I've tried all the shortcuts but in the end shelled out €400

I got mine from Genden in the UK a few years ago. https://www.gendan.co.uk/category_145.html

I bought mine from a guy on adverts. Its a copy but works perfect and comes with the cable. Version 12.12 and it cannot be updated.

    This is the link: http://www.adverts.ie/other/vcds-vag-com-12-12/7455271

You can probably get the same one cheaper from china but I didnt want to be waiting a month for delivery

    VAG-COM, Which one???

Vag com 12.12 shipped from China will set you back around €12 (exact same as one above^^^)
It will be a fully working hacked copy, it must be run without a. Internet connection to avoid contacting the Ross tech server which would render the interface unusable.
Great bit of kit and simple installation.
I got mine from obd2tool.co.uk iirc

You won't be disappointed, it's a great program.
Simple to diagnose and code modules, it also has a 'scan all' feature unlike inpa.
