It's going to the home of a current member though so I'll buy it back off him in a few years ;-)
Pleasure to meet you yesterday Paul. The car is a cracking example and I can't wait to pick it up early next week
    Nice buy!

Just be sure to modify this one and not "un-modify" it! :hehe!:

Half a notion if buying one myself but it would have to be a 2005+ car for me with 12 year anti corrosion warranty.

Having to weld up the boot floor is enough to put me off them.

Ha, I'm already thinking about taking out the parrot head unit and putting it back to standard (but probably won't)

At this stage I think it's more important to buy a good car rather than a specific year / spec (eg I'd prefer if the car had factory Nav ) but it's not worth getting hung up on. Also theres not a huge selection of low mileage cars left down here any more so it makes it more difficult too.

At this stage the floor doesn't scare me, @[Valdelisbmw] is the man to do them and it's pretty cheap given the work involved.

12 yr corrosion warranty was from 01/04 car has to have to a full bmw service history for it though as bodywork is looked over on each inspection ,although if its an irish e46 it shouldn't be a worry its only uk or n.i that would be a concern as for floor pan just budget it in and get it done its only the price of a set of tyres i wouldn't let it put me off a great car
