2001 530d touring Good or bad?

Iv worked on e36s for about 3 years and now have worked on a few e46s doing the usual jobs suspension overhauls removing swirl flaps and fitting vortex filters.

I would be doing all the work myself so as long as parts can be got i will fix it one way or another.

Currently driving a e36 coupe 318tds and have fitted a td04 turbo and i drive this as a daily driver with no problems.

All im worried about with 530ds is second hand parts availability and reliability. Im used of the bullet proof tds engines that i cant break even if i tryed

Theres an abundance of e39's in the scrap yard you will have no issue finding parts there is also a mountain of aftermarket suppliers between ireland and europe so no issue getting parts for them reasonably

High mileage is scaring me a bit. if anyone has a 525d or 530d touring give me a shout. Manuals are hard got its annoying me changing to auto is going to be weird since never ever had one or ever drove one.
