    Will a scorpion from an e36 318i fit a 318is

There's one of this for sale for reasonable money but i'm sure it's for a 318i as it only has a single box not the second box like the 318is should have.
Would it fit and would it have any adverse effects?

    318i

    318is

edit, the seeing these pics side by side i can now see they're quite different! and the larger bore on the 318is exhaust.

If you are getting a back box you might as well go the whole hog and get a decat or better still get a straight bit of pipe the same diameter, cut out the cat, weld it and drive her on

No it will need to be welded. Pipe diameter is smaller.

Ah you' wouldn't notice my wagon, my mothers 1.6 auto golf!
The e36 is feeling sorry for itself, racked is frigged, as is a wheel bearing and a seized calliper.

Would the small diameter pipe on the 318i scorpion cause much restriction?

    One in Galway?

Not a direct bolt on, Will need welding to fit a 318is... It's in decent condition though (Only reason I didn't buy is I want a direct bolt on job)

Seller is fairly sound as I'v bought off him before. (Has a black E36 318is, Dunno if he's on here?)
