E46 bonnet cable stuck!

The bonnet cable got jammed on my E46 saloon recently. I took the kidney grills out and pulled the second cable to pop the passenger side up and then took the drivers side latch off the bonnet to get it open. I still can't free the cable it won't move at all and I can't access where it goes on to the latch. Is there some way of getting in at it?

Try this first. Get a person to pull the cable while you push down and then pull up on the bonnet. Does the trick normally.

Tried that a lot. The cable does not move. I have the bonnet open, I need to get the latch off now to see the cable.

Or remove the drivers side indicator byforce and and fish the cable out and pull.
