Afaik Mike the E39 M5 box is the same apart from the front section of the bell housings, @[Valdelisbmw] should be able to confirm this!

Thanks but I don't have a bellhousing that I can use so it would have to be a complete gearbox.

Just wondering - are you switching it from SMGII Mike, or leaving that in place?

Yea switching to manual.I just can't get along with smg.Im happy enough with the rest of the car so for me it's worth changing it over.i reckon around €1300 all done because I'll do the labour myself.hardest part is the coding and I'll lose cruise control which I don't use anyway so no loss there.Ive just picked up a complete manual box with 55000miles for quarry motors.And I'll sell off the smg parts Ive a brand new smg actuatior on it.

Why do you lose cruise control Mike?

There is something about the wiring for the cruise control.You can't just code it in.There is some info about how to get it to work but I won't be to pushed about it.
