    Sharp squeeling on braking...

Over the past number of weeks, a squeel has developed when I brake...as one can imagine, it is very frustrating, irritating and all the rest.

There is plenty of beef still left on the pads, and I'm not sure what make/brand they are as I haven't changed them since buying the car.

The pads seem aswell to be creating a lot of dust, as opposed to previous pads that I've had on other e60's...

Would there be any reason for the squeeling? I think I'm going to change the pads now anyway...can people recommend a good aftermarket brand?

    Thanks

    Sean

You need some Copper grease on the back of the pads.

You can buy it in spray cans with the little nozzle to save you having to take the pads off. Just be careful not to get it on the disks.

I had a slight squeel on mine after I got new pads fitted, One spray and it stopped.
