What I'd like to know is what the difference is between the 320i/330i 4 pots, could it be just a remap? Was the difference between the old generation 325d/330d 6 pots just a remap or was there hardware differences in the engine? Was there also a difference in the suspension or brakes etc?

    Re e90 differences:
    325d/330d LCI had different injectors
    325i/330i LCI had a different intake - http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=455180

Once 330 parts are installed, both diesel and petol LCI 325s could be mapped to 330 levels (or beyond), which makes a lot of sense in Ireland with our punishing CO2 tax regime..

If the only difference is something like injectors and a remap, it'd be a handy way for 320i owners in the future to push out 330i+ figures. The 330i would probably have bigger brakes but I'd say the suspension would be the same because there'd be no engine weight difference, might have better anti roll bars, or an OE strut brace etc though. Hmm will be interesting to see what they do

The new 325 is a four pot twin turbo. Like the Alpina D3 and the 123d and the current 525d.
