rubber boot

Hi. Does any one know if rubber boot in e46 has some kind of vent or tubing on rubber?
Any ideas guys?

Hi.
After fitting new steering rack, rubber boots (on both sides) are getting twisted and squeezed while I m turning wheels. It looks like would be a wac inside them...
I noticed that the rack what I got do not have this little plastic pipe which was attached to the steering rack cover/housing.
Any adidas lats?

what car and have you a pic? I have a couple of e36 racks there and piping

i understand you are not looking for a rack. What i meant is i have 2 spare if you need parts? Your post is unclear as to whether you are looking for help, parts or both?
