    wheel bearing?

    think I've a bad wheel bearing but not sure

    humming sound when I'm driving. can hear when going straight or when i turn left. but goes when i turn right. am i right in thinking front right wheel bearing?

    Yes, if you are sure it is coming from the front Front wheel bearing problem is not very common among BMWs. Have yet to see a bad one myself. Are you sure it's a humming sound? Could be your tyre, check for any damages on it.

    ^^Ive changed 2 front wheel bearing on my e36 in the last year n a half.

    A humming noise to one person could be a screeching noise to another person though!:wink:

    Easy way to tell is jack up the car and spin each wheel. If the bearing is gone/going youll hear a rough noise when the wheel is spinning. Bit harder to do on the back wheels with drives attached though. If theyre really bad, the wheel should rock if you grab it and try to shake it in and out.

    jacked it up rocks side to side and top to bottom. bearing ordered
