    e39 auto warning lights intermittent

The following has happened a few times recently while driving.
    ABS warning on
    Traction control light on
    Transmission light on
    Speedo fails to indicate speed.
After around 30 seconds all is back to normal except transmission light but if I pull up switch off car and restart there are no warnings.
I have INPA when I plug it in there are no faults.
It has occurred during night driving in the rain so hoping it's a ground or battery (present one is at least 4 years old).
Where should I start to get to the bottom of it.
    Cheers

Battery or abs control module are the usual culprits.

I was praying that since the transmission light came on it wouldn't be the abs module,

I think Valdas has a couple (though they may be gone)

Unfortunately I'd say it's the abs module. Those 3 are all linked. Does the auto keep working properly during all of this?

No it goes into fail safe and will only reset when I stop the car and turn off the ignition and then start the car again.

Could be a speed sensor in the auto box.

In the box :surprised:. The abs unit doesn't sound so bad compared to that failing.
I will have to wait and see if the faults latch and show up on INPA to confirm fault.

Well after all that it was the abs module. Found one locally and 10mins later no yellow lights (apart from the petrol one :wink.
