    E39 door caught in wind

Hi Guys . had a bit of an incident yesterday where the wind caught the door and slammed it open. I heard something break inside the door at the bar highlighted in the picture . now the door swings open uncontrollably and doesn’t stay out it closes itself . does anyone know what that bar is called and what’s involved in repairing .
    Cheers

Sorry to hear Davy, for you reference a new check strap and check strap pin is €44.83. If needed drop me a PM and we can go from there .

Probably a sheared pin, could probably stick a nut and bolt in it for a cheaper fix?
