All these diff ratios confuse me
I need to know What's best diff for me to fit in the e36, I prefer acceleration over top end speed ,
I'm still running small case Diff so what exactly do I need and is the 3.0 m3 did the best one? I presume I need diff , side shafts and prop to gearbox ??

M52 2.5 Dave with few mods on it

I'm sure a 328 would be the best ratio wise we've one in work for very reasonable money too with side shafts

if get M3 diff ,will need diff flanges from any other medium case diff but non M3 ,all 3 of them. 328i diff has 2.93 ratio so its not good if U looking for more sharp acceleration . To fit medium case if U have now small one,need side shafts and prop shaft .what engine was in car before conversion? 320i ? so ratio should be 3.45 or 3.88 .Should be best option U could have with engine U have now.

3.46 would be a good ratio for you. Get the half shafts and prop also.

Acceleration ? up into the 4's for you then. Be some hog but be minty quick
