Analogue to digital heater display

I've wanted to change out the analogue dials for the digital ones on an e46. Does anyone know if this will work?

Simple answer is no, I've tried it but won't work as your car doesn't have an Auc sensor. BUT I didn't try to code it in but still have my doubts that even would work.

I have it swapped in mine, only problem I have is I only have 2 options for air direction, I have windscreen and face selected but cold feet
Never tried to code it tho
