2/3 Problems with E39 525iA

Having two weird problems with my 525i Auto recently. First is intermittent ABS/TC/Handbrake lights coming on, fault codes read and nothing comes up, ABS unit on the way out? Second is the odd time in the last two days it fails fire on three cylinders, first it was 1,2,3 cylinder and today it didn't fire in 1,2,4. Any ideas?

ABS/TC/Handbrake are the main problems right now as I have my NCT on the 2nd. This problem may only pop on for 5 seconds or stay on, sometimes it won't happen at all.

Anyone have any idea about this? Engine seems to be back to normal so hoping it might have just been some excess water, ABS/TC/Brake lights still very intermittent so that's what I'd like to get to the bottom of.

Check your abs unit under the bonnet on the aluminium block the part number its a 001 good chance its failing/failed if its a very common weak spot my own was refurbished by Bosch ,there's a crowd that refurb them for the cost of a second hand unit now can't remember the name at present though

What are you using for diagnosing bmw specific software's best for this kind of stuff

Yeah I'm going to check it tomorrow once the weather calms down, check if anything is loose first. I'm using Carly for BMW with their Cable for Android at the moment.

Sounds like the abs module, I had a similar issue with the three dash lights intermittent for a while then constantly on. On the plus side it's a plug out plug in 10 minute job to replace.

An update to this, still having intermittent issues with my ABS, they tend to stay on now though after appearing on the dash, yesterday my Cruise Control has also stopped working, no codes being picked up on Carly for any ABS or Cruise faults. Reckon I'm looking at a faulty module?

Mines the 005 unit anyway, thought they just had 001/002 to be honest!
