Only way for sure is to remove the backing plate and look inside

You could stick the vin number into bmwvin.com and see if it has one from the factory.
Alternatively I thought the old school way to check was to jack up the back of the car so both wheels are off the ground. Spin one wheel by hand. If both spin you have an LSD, if only 1 does you don't
