RE: SORN
To SORD a car (Fucktards called it SORD not SORN)
You need an RF100 signed by a Guard to say car has been off the road you then need an RF150 to say car will be off the road (Up to 12 months max)
To cancel a SORD, Just tax the car whenever you want.
Apparently we will get a reminder a month before to either re-subit amother RF150 or tax the car.
Example: My E36 tax out since 8-2011.
So I got an RF100 signed by a Guard saying car was off the road from 9-11 to 8-13.
I then submit an RF150 declaring it off the road from start of 8-13 to end of 7-14.
Also, If I don't remew my SORD (Next year) before the current one expires I'll have to pay 3 months tax before I can re-SORD it.
Their is a way out though, If you happen to buy a car your only liable from the date you purchase it. So long term project cars, put them into partners/parents names and then when their ready for road put them into your own name and ther'll be no arrears.
