Not sure where you are based, but @[Valdelisbmw] at Motor Confidence, site sponsor here, has done plenty of diff work, rebuilds replacement etc. recommended and worth a try!
EDIT: @[Peter-E36] on here has the internals of a 6 speed autobox diff from a 335i, not sure if it will fit the 320i but again it could be an option! I'm sure either members above will be more knowledgeable!

+1 on Motor Confidence (Valdas)
As Paddy mentioned I have the "bit" (not sure what to call it?) that came out of my diff when Valdas fitted a Quaife LSD unit for me. If it'll help you with your rebuild it's yours
Yeah Valdas is based in Knockmitten, just off Naas Road. Peter, who was based in Cork, got his diff done there actually - but not sure if he traveled, or couriered the diff!
Do you know anything about active transmissions? They gave me a quote today.
