    M3 240mm Clutch pressure plate - alternatives?

    Hi folks,

I have a lightweight flywheel on my 318is requiring the use of an E36 M3 240mm pressure plate.
Is there an alternative pressure plate I can fit with a lower spring rate? I have already fitted the M3 slave cylinder but still find the clutch is overly heavy for power of the engine and becoming annoying for start stop traffic.

According to the below link, a 240mm pressure plate was used on a good few models, but will it fit?

    Thanks,
    Paul

    Thanks a mill for that.
I'll try pop down to the clutch place at lunch tomorrow or might be better off sticking up a wanted ad in the classifieds.
