LED reg plate lights

Bare with me...

I'd like to try out some LED reg plate lights. Now I don't mean the cheap eBay festoons with exposed internals but replacement lights themselves, where I pop out my existing holders disconnect them and replace with units with sealed LEDs. I also don't want a great big glare with overpowering light. I simply want to update the rear like the LCI models, to tie in with my extended lighting pack (LEDs in door handles).

Any recommendations - there is no end of choice online, but I'd rather a recommendation to ensure I get the right light.

Feel free to tell me to give it up and stick with the yellowey halogens
