Diarmuid I know front wheel drive bmw is just wrong, but I wont be driving it and she likes them plus I cant buy anything else for myself until her car is upgraded

Another reason to not go the "premium" route to leave a few more quid in the kitty!

Actually, I have the reverse problem at the moment - I've been through 6 cars for myself since the last time I changed Mrs D's car, so its kind of time I did something for her!

It would be but 7 seats is what we need, so either this or a ford, vw etc. so just looking outside the box at the minute

TBH - I'd argue for looking at something like an S Max. Better drivers car, more space and either a better spec for the same money or a lower entry price for equivalent spec.
