    Octavia VRS TFSI

    Anybody have any real work experience with these?
    The first model, 06 onwards.

    He driving that one Chris? Seen that on DD and back roads alright. Bit pricey for the year compared too there's but looks well in fairness.

    Had a 07 2.0tdi as a company car for a good while, loved it

    Cool. What's the gti engine like in the Octi body do you know? Hard on petrol etc?

    Keith, go look at Colm's. I bet my house keys on you not finding one cleaner/more legit or un-abused. I'm sure if someone comes to view, he'll discuss price

    What are they like on petrol Ciaran?

    He's not a heavy driver, from what I can gather its returning anything between 28 - 30mpg for his daily commute and 34 mpg on country runs.

    Same engine as a GTi with a less aggressive map afaik, i've just done 650 kms on my last tank of 55 ltrs, most of that being a trip from Limerick to Belfast at avg 130kms, works out at 34 mpg, the VRS could prob do better. Great engine imo. The 06 model is the MK 2 VRS btw.

    My brother has the 2.0 TDi and I've driven it a few times, fine car and well specced too, I was interested in buying one until he bought his!
