This was were it all started for me some good laughs to be had in this generally with 5 or 6 people squeezed into it :-D

Lasted 4 months and the headgasket went on it got my money back from the garage I bought it from

89' mk3 fiesta 1.0 with a 4 speed box

My first car in 1998. This was the product of years of toil as a paper boy and butcher's assistant.

It was a 1.4 Ryder and although it only had a 4 speed gearbox, it had a rev counter and metallic paint. And it was a Golf.... That meant a lot at that age back then!

It put in 5 years and 60k miles of service and to this day is still the most reliable car I've ever owned.

EDIT:

Six years after I last saw it, I was delighted to spot my old Golf again in 2009...

Now showing 104k, it appeared to be in very good shape for its advancing years. It was good to be reunited again!



It was scrapped in 2012, according to the DVLA.
