The reason I ask is because it is unlikely that someone will reveal they know the owner unless they know what the intent is.

Sorry, good point. I'd like to buy it if at all possible. It's a rare car and Id hate to see it wind up on the back of a Grab lorry on its way to the Docks. I have details for where it is and could make enquiries that way but I figured I'm better off starting here.
