    Post E87 116i flywheel lock 2006

Anyone know how to lock the flywheel on a 116i e87 2006 or time up the engine .after locking the cams and carrying out some research there is no where under the starter motor to insert the pin that is supposed to lock the crank
I have removed the the inlet manifold the starter motor and exposed the surrounding areas of the bellhousing and there is no where to lock the crank/flywheel .
In order to replace the timing chain

it is ,there it should be ! u just searched bit too high from engine sump location.its more down the line from starter motor, its like too lines of lay out of engine block, and between them its the hole , might be blocked with small plastic pin .dont need to take off the manifold or even starter motor, but its not easy way to get to it even from under the car

Thanks for your info .but I have tried just about everything now .i have been looking now for the past week .hence I have removed as much as I can ,to see it is quite annoying because I can't replace the chain until I have locked or timed the crank
