E36 blowing hot air only

Since two days I have a issue.

The fan is only blowing hot air even the knob is on cold.

Doesn't happen straight away. Like I'm driving and I brake or turn and suddenly I feel hot air coming from vents.

I don't have aircon just knob.

Strange

What I should check first any idea?

Is a bit annoying when 20degrees outside hah.

Probably the heater control valves passing, give them a tap,
Can also avoid setting your vents to feet and windscreen

I will try to unplug and plug it back and give a tap to see if that's help.

Had this issue in my old E36 and it was heater control valve. Think the new part was something like 60 quid from the dealers

I normally do them for 30 but Im all out. My humble opinion is to whip it off and give it a good clean. No harm in a Rad flush and some new fluids either. Also what's your temp guage at and how are header pipes behaving? Just to rule out other options.

I tried to hit it a bit. Was fine for a 10mins and bam. Sauna in the car again.

I will need get this part soon
