    I'd say if the M3 hadnt been designed under the rules of DTM then it would have been more like the B6S.

    Probably, although the next option (according to Gerhard Richter) for the M88 after the E24 was the E30, along with the S14. But they couldn't get it to fit so it went into the E28 instead. Hartge got it to fit though

    I would say BMW wouldnt do it so to maintain the 50/50 weight distribution.
