    Which E46 Android headunit?

I have an Android headunit that I bought off adverts a few years back. No idea on the brand but it's running a very old version of android and has given up the ghost recently. Missing it big time in the car as it had nav built in and the speedo apps were pretty cool.

    Anyone reccomend a decent replacement?

Looking at this on Amazon (thanks Brexit!) and it also has DAB+ capability which would be sweet as the one I have has terrible FM reception.

    Any thoughts / alternatives?

    Thanks in advance.

Let me know if you buy one in the end as I'm very keen to get one aswell. I think over on M3cutters a good few are using the Eanon unit, but the quality seems to be a bit hit or miss.

Think I met you a few years ago on Barrow street, really liked your old set up!

    Hey Nige,

Yeah, something to do with LED tail lights if I remember correctly? Still have that M3?

Bought this in the end: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Pumpkin-Lol.../dp/B01E8KFF5M

Vast improvement on the previous model that I had. Boot up time is far shorter and the extra RAM makes a huge difference. FM reception is also perfect in this whereas it was the major fault with the model I had previously. Usually I just turn on the hotspot on my phone when I get into the car and use the Spotify app on the unit. Really brings the E46 interior up the years to see album art and lyrics on a screen.

Same issues with viewing it in direct sunlight but it's not the end of the world.

Use Google maps for Sat Nav, works perfectly. Steering wheel controls also work fine.

Haven't bothered with DAB, reversing camera or TV as I don't really need any of the above.

Let me know if you want to know anything else or if you want to see it working.

I think in terms of android head units, Dynavin would have the highest spec hardware.
