Right ive been thinking the past while that the headgasket was gone on my e36 325i drift car.the temperature on my gauge goes up to 115degrees celius after hard driving.and seems to stick around 100degrees at idle for long periods.theres no signs of headgasket failure, ie spitting out coolant, water in the oil, misfiring, white smoke etc.all seems normal. Any car ive had when the temp would go above 100degree it would boil and steam and spit out the coolant. Now ive been trying to do some reseach and some people saying anything up to 115deg is normal in m50's and that standard clusters dont go above halfway point until after this. Now my car has no cluster just aftermarket gauges and the water temp gauge only reads up to 120. Any bmw gurus know is this normal? As i dont want to change the headgasket if its perfectly fine.any help would be appreciated
