seat wont move all the way fwd or back

Having a bit of an issue at the moment fitted an interior to the e46 yesterday but the driver stops short around 3 inchs forward and back I checked the rail for coins or any debris that could be blocking it but found nothing the rails are the same length as the originals

Has me baffled at the moment anyone any ideas or came across this before when fitting an interior

Are the rails in sync if ya get me, seat isn't sitting slightly sideways on the rails?

Think I know what you mean lengthwise they are the same and I did compare driver to passenger but I think il have to take it out and have another go at it cars not here at the moment though

It will go to the end of the rail then just stop dead rather then come out 3-4 inchs over the end same backwards

This happened to me when fitted seats to my e36, the left rail was slightly more forward than the right.
