Bmw 330d 2001 184bhp boost issue

Hi I have a bmw e46 2001 330d she is the 184bhp model I have a slight boost issue when I floor the car in 3rd ,4th or 5th gear from low revs I get a slight pull back like as if it drops out of boost for a second this happens 2 or 3 times threw the gear you cant feel anything in 1st or 2nd gear

Any help would be great as it's recking my head at this point thanks

Disconnect the MAF sensor and see if it drives different - if it does it's the MAF (they run a default "map" when disconnected) - Get the OBD codes read after that to progress further.
