    M50B20 single mass flywheel

Not sure of the best place to stick this - so mods feel free to move. My E36 current has an M50B20 single mass flywheel (I'm told with correct pressure plate and clutch plate fitted) and being honest I hate it, maybe I'm just getting old. Anyway - I'll be replacing with the correct dual mass unit in the not too distant future.

Would be happy enough to swap with someone who wants to get replace their own dual mass version.
Is there much demand for the single mass item?

I think I have a couple of flywheels which I could send up to you in exchange for yours. I'll check later. I don't have clutch or pressure plate though so you'd have to purchase one to suit.

Can I ask you why you hate it? Does it make the drive or drive take up lumpy?

Sacrifices drivability at low speed for me - need to keep blipping the throttle in reverse to stop it stalling, pulling off at low speed requires a bit more throttle, and loses its smoothness. Clutch is also heavier, and after having knee surgery last year thats not ideal. Its probably quicker in real terms at getting up the revs for brisk driving, but I'm touching middleage-ness now (or am already well there depending on who you talk to) and it just isn't how I want this car to drive. I've actually had it off the road since May or so as I don't enjoy driving it as it is.

Thanks, I was asking as someone I know was considering doing the same to an A4. So always better asking those who have done it before.
