Not something that would be too familiar to most here (most of us have alloys) but daughters car is going for an NCT tomorrow and the wheels were very rusty underneath hubcaps (car has been parked up for a few months) gave them a good going over with a wirebrush but sill very pitted, is it something they snag was thinking of painting them with hamerite but thought it might draw more attention what do ye recon thanks
doesnt say anything on the failure list about rust

I sanded and sprayed the gf 97 Clio wheels and came up nicely
Well it sailed through the test today , only snagged wipers which I was able to get in motor factors across the road ,no retest fee .there was also an advisory about Tyres being more than 6 years old. Not bad for a 150.Euro Car that was parked up for 10 months .I will either sand n paint wheels or if her budget stretches a set of alloys.what is totally nuts is the insurance disc is 12 times the value of the car
