Mines 02 has cassette with CD changer in the boot. Flat pin connections on the radio not round pin like prefacelift,
Only the very last of them late 03 came with cd players everything else was a tape deck unless spec'd otherwise

Iris I believe. Single unit not split in 2.
Something like this although doesnt have bass/treble buttons
Better off switching to the mid I started off with the iris is well its the lowest spec piece of kit it's much easier to find the mid cd player and it's a simple retrofit a 3 cable loom from bmw for 20 quid and then plug and play

You can add aux then is well for another 10e for Ipods phones etc

If I could find either at this moment in time I'd be happy enough lol not too bothered about anything once I can get an aux adapter for it (and it works, unlike the current one)
Yeh both will be fairly hard to come across in Ireland they do come up but rarely you should be able to get the bottom half of the mid in Ireland No problem from any breaker but you might to look to the UK for the cd player
