Mini cooper s EML light on????

So herself has decided to sell her 2003 cooper s and of course something has gone wrong with it. The enl light is on and the car revs but dies off and then revs return. Can anyone point me in the right direction????

Get the OBD codes read - sounds like a MAF sensor gone nut could be anything like vacuum leaks etc

Thanks for that. Its going to our mechanic in the morning so fingers crossed it wont be to expensive. I was planning on advertising it for sale yesterday.....typical timing.
