    Miserable windscreen washers

    Hi.. I have a 2007 X5 (e70)

The water spray on my front windshield wipers is miserable..

The headlight washers clean more of the windscreen that these.. the back one seemsfine too.

Water flow seems ok but the are hitting the bottom of the screen when I use them.

I read somewhere there are separate pumps for each.. ideas, thoughts, things I can try ???

It's is an expensive job to do ? Don't want to waste your time if it's something trivial...

Stupid idea, But can they be adjusted? I know on Ford ones you can stick a needle in to love the jet upwards.

I had a look - they seem to be non adjustable from what I can tell... They used to work ok (not great) but now basically just about hit the bottom of the screen

Filter at the bottom of the washer bottle motor needs to be cleaned out. Bit of work to do it on them as the front wheel arch liner needs to be removed and you then need to replace the all the retaining rivets that hold them it in place.

So a bit beyond my technical ability then... Guess it's one for the professionals so

    Sorted it today....

Replaced both washer jets - both had been inexpertly repaired in the past...

35 euro a side for new ones
