The short answer is no, the Schmiedmann sale is *upto 20% on products, it is not 20% sale on all products. The discount amounts vary dependant on product, Schmiedmann are doing a retail sale so its *upto 20% off retail prices which in some instances is a greater discount than the dealers get which means we do not get further discount to allow for any margin. So in a shell of nuts on the bulk buy you guys are saving on average €20.43 on each gear knob due to shipping being divided. If I were to offer the schmiedmann sale in this instance I would loose any margin I have after I factor in my costs to send the gear knobs out from me to you guys and thus have no incentive to do the bulk buy. From having a quick look in some instances the sale discount is 9% where the dealer discount is 6%, we do not get say 10% to allow for any profit during the sale. Also to note on this bulk buy I am absorbing the cost of sending them out via An Post standard post as the shipping prices quoted in first page are to get them from Schmiedmann to Super4 in Ireland and not from Super4 to customer.

On other items this this would not be the case and further savings could be made, I shall be looking into this in greater detail tomorrow and promoting it as much as possible in a separate thread. Hope all my rambling has made sense. See below example of your BMW Performance gear knob Cethern :


1. Schmiedmann normal RRP - €120.02 delivered inc 25% vat

2. Schmiedmann sale price - €108.98 delivered Inc 25%

3. Super4 bulk buy price - €95.98 delivered Inc 23% vat

Track and Trace received today, GLS now have the gearknobs. Shall keep a close eye and hopefully all going well you will all have them for Xmas.
