Hi guys,
I recently returned to Ireland with my 130i M Sport. I noticed that once I got into the car, the clock had reset itself. It also had a battery warning light pop up intermittently. The car started and drove perfectly but the ABS and DSC lights popped up thereafter which can be a unique problem or associated with a low battery
Anybody in Dublin tomorrow able to do a quick diagnosis for me if I spin by? I don't want to buy a new battery to find out it wasnt the issue!

That's classic signs of a battery that needs to be replaced. Note that these days BMWs (& most other manufacturers) need the new battery to be registered in order to optimise the lifetime of the battery.

Main dealer was cheapest when I replaced my E46 battery last year

Question on this. I have a black AGM battery, 80 AH, 800A battery.
BMW want 350 euro to fit and register this.
I dont have Start Stop/ED. Can I swap to a lead acid battery instead with same spec? Something like this: http://www.halfords.ie/motoring/bulb...-yr-guarantee? If so - anybody able to reg it for me?
