Any of you here have done the pixel repair? mine isn't bad, but I'm steadily trying to make the car niggle free. And if you have done it, would you do it again or just pay someone else to do it?
If so, who is recommended?

I got it done on my old 530. It looks like a complete pain in the arse to do.

I did my radio and it was a disaster... very difficult to get the new ribbon to sit the the right place. Definitely send that job out. The cluster is supposed to be even worse to take apart.
I have done 2 clusters myself.
The trick to get the ribbon in right place is to use clear tape to fix it in place.
I followed this guide and I would do it myself again, if I need to.

I always think, that if I mess up, I can pay someone to fix it.
I have done it on two cars - take your time and patience is required!!
It is not difficult just a bit fiddly.
I chickened out and got the Legendary Kris in Dublin to do it. Top man, quick turnaround, no problem dealing with out of normal hours.
Only thing now is I need a bulb for the back of the oil service area, Kris was out of them. And to be fair, I hadn't told him it was gone.
What type are they?
