Bought privately by me in August 2012 in the UK with just 30k miles recorded and imported to Ireland (a copy of the Autotrader ad in the file and a copy of the UK V5 document). I had a quite specific spec in mind, must be 330 petrol, must be manual, must have black leather, must be LCI and consequently would have the 6 speed manual gearbox.
The original plan was for this to be my weekend toy while I used a Capt. Sensible daily driver. But the best laid plans sometimes don’t go to plan and I enjoyed the car so much that the sensible car took a couple of years to materialize, so it was my daily driver until the Autumn of 2014, covering around 40k miles in that time. Since then it has been part of a slightly expanding collection and the rate of mileage has dropped off significantly. When not in use it has been properly garaged. It has been well minded and the service history details are outlined below. The MV2 alloys were refurbished by Wheel Doctor for the 2015 season, fitted with new Goodyear’s F1’s and have covered about 7.5k miles since, so plenty of thread left.
The car is in generally in very good condition but for full disclosure there are a couple of things to note and why its priced as it is.
• There is a spot of rust on the rear panel between the boot shut line and the bumper and there is a little bubbling on the surface around the rear arches on each side.
• There are two very small dents on the NSR panel where the wheelie bins were blown over against it one night at home – these are an easy Paintless Dent Removal repair.
• A parking sensor needs replacing but I’ve never gotten around to checking which one.
• Finally, the windscreen was replaced before my ownership and as a result there is a slight air bubble in the area of the membrame on the screen that is part of the Auto Wipers setup that stopped them working in Auto Mode. This mode also overrides intermittent settings. In order to restore the intermittent action I disconnected the sensor in the rear view mirror. This restored the intermittent function but the same sensor is also used for the Auto Lights.
