Car jerking sideways when accelerating and shifting up.

    Hi Folks,

As the title says, when accelerating hard and shifting up through the gears the rear is jerking sideways. Happens when clutched and released ie power off and back on.

Noticed this on the way to the nct on Sunday but it passed with no problems. I'm thinking trailing arm or subframe bushes maybe. I've had a clunk from the diff for a while so I know there's bushes needed there, this problem is a new development I think. The missus drives the car every day but would never notice something like this, you need to be acting the maggot a little bit to notice it. Any ideas..

Not sure but given the description I'd be getting it to the garage quickly before it catches you out

Cheers lads, yep, went for another spin this evening and deffo trailing arms. I remember those bushes being a particular pain in the ass to remove on a previous car. Gonna go poly this time I think and do the lollipops as well while I'm at it.
