320d Timing Chain Issue

Hi all,

Could someone fill me in fully on the timing chain issue on the 08+ 320d engines?

Interested in looking at one but the guy is not sure if the chain was done.

If not, what kind of money are we talking for the replacement.? And also how soon does it need to be done?
