    Irish Times Frank Keane article

Very interesting article about Frank Keane and the early days of Motor Import Ltd.

Had a read of it and interesting article. He sure did a lot for the marque we all adore. Plus he actually has an interest in cars too unlike a lot of others. Fond memories of staring through the window of Motor Import at that M1 as a kid. Well done Frank Keane.

Worked for Mr Keane and with Brian his son for a few years. It's rare to meet someone with such drive and tenacity. Very professional guy, to me and all but the longest standing employees he was Mr Keane, not Frank and I respected that old school mentality. His love for the brand is clear and he really did more for BMW in Ireland than anyone has or will.

Brian his son is one of the nicest people I have ever known and I hope he has as good a time with the business as his dad has.

I was at a private showing of his collection and a couple of other collections, Very interesting man and the drive he has for a man of his age is astounding, I can imagine he worked extremely hard as a young man to get to where he is, fair play to him! The BMW scene here could be much different today if it wasn't for him.

Did the same thing myself many times through the years. I always enjoyed the showroom window where one of his own cars would have pride of place. The '88 e30 320i with the m-tech kit was a favourite.
