I need to get rid of my reliable auld banger as it hasn't moved in a month or so, since I got a newer banger that requires my full attention.
It's a 1998 e36 318tds touring with 159k ish miles, tested till December, taxed till end of June.
It's rough and ready and it hasn't let me down in the 16 months I have had it.
I bought from Cliften Co. Galway in Jan last year with 141k on the clock, and in my time it has gotten a new battery, a second hand abs unit and front caliper,front top mounts,front drop links,rear top mount, abs sensor,and a second hand wiper linkage. I also serviced it twice, last time in Dec @152k miles.
Living on the west coast has taken its toll on the car and there is some surface rust on the doors and bonnet and a patch on the passenger side sill that has been badly repaired, but there has been no mention of rust on the nct. There is also lots of sun cream hand prints on various points around the car.

It also has a tow hitch fitted that looks like it hasn't been used.
It has served me well over the last year and I would hate to see it go to the scrapper, it has lots of mileage left in it and I don't see any reason it won't fly the nct this coming Dec.
