    Bmw e60 wiper issues

Lads I've a 2008 e60 and when I turn the wipers on every now and then while the wipers are going they seem to stop for a split second and today twice they have just stopped working altogether any one any idea what could be causing the issue or any one got any common faults on e60 wipers I should look at!!
    Cheers
    Mick

Thanks for the reply!! I have googled it and seems to point in the direction of contacts in the wiper motor that need a cleaning!! I'll prob start there before I go shelling out on a new motor
