Hey lads. Anyone know anything about vrt. My cousin bought a 02 Mercedes on UK plates on spur of the moment. He phoned revenue and for a 02 c200 compressor with 180000 km its 720.more than car is worth. Is there any way to bring this down. Mad price

No. 720 is the lowest payable amount for vrt. A 100 euro micra would still be 720 to clear
Minimum car value for VRT is €2k but % is 14-36% of that value so minimum value is €280-720 depending on emissions. Merc is probably highest emissions band so €720 is minimum
